Mr Salama deals with all conditions of the upper limbs and all kinds of injuries including ankle ligament reconstruction and cartilage repair surgery.

Mr. Salama is fully trained / accredited in all aspects of Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery, but his passion and special interest is the Shoulder & Upper Limb and Sports injuries.

He can provide expert treatment, both surgical and non-surgical, of all conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and Hand. He uses the latest technology in diagnostic investigation, including MRI, MRA, 3-D CT scanning, high definition ultrasound, digital radiology, nuclear medicine scanning, and electromyography.

In particular, he specialises in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the shoulder, elbow and wrist, to treat condition such as: frozen shoulder, tendonitis, rotator cuff tear, dislocation, biceps injury, tennis elbow, stiff elbow, carpal instability, TFCC tear(Wrist pain and clicking), and all forms of arthritis.

In addition, he is an expert in all forms of shoulder and elbow replacement surgery, from simple resurfacing to complex revision replacements. In upper limb trauma surgery, he uses some of the very latest fracture fixation implants in order to achieve the very best clinical outcomes, even after severe & complex upper limb injuries. Mr Salama frequently uses arthroscopic methods to fix many of the shoulder and elbow fractures and some wrist fractures when suitable.

Mr Salama is very keen on multi-disciplinary approach towards the management of his patients, and therefore he works very closely with a dedicated specialist team of Radiologists (specialised in Musculoskeletal Radiology), Anaesthetists (specialised in Upper Limb Regional Nerve Blockade), Physiotherapists, Orthotist and Occupational Hand Therapists.
